Bedroom Wall Art

The best wall art for bedrooms helps you feel relaxed and rested. Less is often more here, but that doesn’t mean you need to shy away from colour. Choose artwork you love that complements the mood you want to create in the room.

The space above your bed is a natural anchor for the room. A large statement piece or a set of three prints works well here, filling the space without overwhelming it.

Around 15–25cm (6–10 inches) between the top of the headboard and the bottom of the artwork is a good starting point. As a general guide, aim for the artwork, or group of artworks, to span around two-thirds of the width of the headboard. Start here and adjust it until it feels balanced in your space.

Above the bed is a natural place for art, but it’s not the only option. Try hanging a pair of prints either side of a window, placing artwork above a chest of drawers, or grouping smaller pieces on a picture ledge.
